• Some Guidelines

egyptian_divinity_04* Practice "stepping in our shoes" and understand that we do not need to live up to your expectations of who we are. Keep in mind that we are "new" to the public scene.
    * Understand that it is a privilege to be here. Not a right.
    * Theatrics and "issues" are kept at a bare mininum.

  • Our Environment

egyptian_divinity_05Our environment is rather unique - netwise. We try and reflect the social customs of our Romani culture in a internet setting. We focus on a strong community spirit. We take your experience here very personally (but not overbearingly so). We are very well suit the family oriented person. And those wishing to make an IMPACT.

Why are we on the internet?
The reason we would like to share with everyone: In the last 2-3 years, there has been a huge influx of all types of Roma to the internet. This has led both Roma and Gadje on the quest to figure out who we are, namely our traditions and roots.
Alongside this curious trend for knowledge is humanity's overall awakening to inner spirituality. Mother Earth has re-aligned Herself to a positive energy, created by humanity. Mother Earth has responded. Spirit has responded. We have responded. Are you ready to respond?

Our role?
This is where we come in. Our worldwide Natsia have been following our old ways for as far as our Elders can remember. We have been adhering to our old ways as a sacred trust. We have kept to ourselves, for various reasons, connecting only with people with similar cultures - until now. We bring you our oral traditions into the convenience of your home through this wonderful tool called the Internet.
We hope that we can connect in some way and be able to shed some light in everyone's journey. A journey that leads to your own Tatcho Drom.

Independent Egyptologists

Roma Old Ways supports independent Egyptologists, or at least Egyptologists who shed "new" light into archeology and bring to the fore what the powers that be want to keep from the public. Here we try and give you specially selected authors who not only are great independent Egyptologists, but some also support our own cultural oral traditions.

*John Van Auken

*Alan Alford

*Moustafa Gadalla

Recommended Authors

There is very little research and publications based on our Romani old ways culture. It is difficult for researches and scholars to study cultures that by nature keep to themselves. Interestingly enough, in this age of Revealing, we are finding more and more publications that shed light into our Romani old ways culture. Here are a few books and websites we recommend.

*Im Nin'Alu's Book Website

* Egyptian Romany: The Essence of Hispania

* Patrick Jasper Lee

Safe and Sound

Online communities often succumb to predators and bullies. I'm sure many of us can recall a time where we have experienced harassment in an online environment.

For those who have been searching for a community of working families and an easy going atmosphere, you've found the right place. Here, the quality of communication stays meaningful; here, we have a purpose. Roma Old Ways hopes to be a living tool providing ancient means for seekers to find their own Way.
